Interior Wraps & Window Film Melbourne

Interior Wrap & Film Specialists for Melbourne

The Melbourne CBD is a different job from the suburbs. Inside the Hoddle Grid we are working with office floors, apartment towers, hotel rooms, and cafes and shops tucked into laneways and arcades. Access, building rules and trading hours shape the work as much as the surfaces themselves.

We come into the city from our Mitcham base for commercial and residential jobs across postcode 3000. Most CBD enquiries are about glass, either privacy in offices and meeting rooms or heat and glare on towers, and about quick, durable refits for hospitality and retail spaces.

Working inside the Hoddle Grid

The CBD has changed a lot in recent decades. Alongside the office towers, many tall apartment buildings full of one and two bedroom units have gone up, and the resident population has grown fast. That means a lot of compact kitchens, shared walls of glass and owners corporation rules to work within.

On the commercial side, offices along Collins Street and the surrounding blocks often have glass meeting rooms that need privacy without losing the open feel. In the laneways and arcades, small venues and shops need tough surfaces and a look that can change when the concept does. Retail tenancies on short leases are a good match for wraps because the work is reversible.

Logistics come first in the city. We confirm loading dock times, lift bookings, building inductions and any after hours rules before the day, so the install runs to plan.

The process, step by step

We provide a free quote and an on site measure, and bring sample swatches and film samples so you can see them under your own lighting. For larger sites we can stage the work by floor or zone. On install day we prepare each surface properly, then apply the wrap or film and tidy up as we go.

Window film needs time to cure and may look a little hazy at first. Our curing period and inspection page explains what is normal. For cleaners and facilities staff, our care and maintenance page lists safe cleaning methods.

What we tell CBD clients up front

Not every glass or surface in a tower is a good candidate. Many commercial buildings use double glazed or factory coated glass, and some films are not compatible with it. We check before recommending anything, and if building management controls the facade, their approval comes first.

Inside, vinyl is not made for surfaces right next to commercial cooking equipment or other high heat. Laminate that is already lifting, or joinery with chipped edges, needs repair first, otherwise the wrap will show every flaw. And if a fit out is due to be stripped within months, it is worth asking whether a wrap is good value. We will give you a straight answer.

Can you install office film without interrupting our team in the CBD?

In most cases, yes. Office film and partition work can be planned in stages, room by room or floor by floor, so staff can keep working nearby. We talk through building access, loading dock bookings and any after hours requirements during the quote so the installation fits how your building operates.

Do I need building management approval for film in a CBD office or apartment?

Often you do. Many CBD towers have rules about anything applied to external glazing, and apartment buildings usually have owners corporation rules about external appearance. Internal partitions and joinery are usually simpler. We can provide samples and product details so you can get approval before we book the work.

Is wrapping a good option for a short retail or hospitality lease?

It can be. Architectural vinyl lets you change the look of counters, shelving, walls and doors without permanent changes to the tenancy. That suits operators who want a strong fit out now but need to hand the space back later. Removal and the condition of the surface underneath are worth discussing with your landlord first.
